As debuts go, Rise is more than hopeful...If her debut is this unflinchingly authentic, then her future appears to be equally uncompromising.”

In a music landscape where polish often overshadows vulnerability, Stevie Nicole offers something different: songs that don’t look away from pain, but instead find beauty in the spaces it leaves behind.”

Fairmont Post

[Stevie Nicole's] deliberate pace [of creating] has given her music a kind of weight, an unhurried intimacy that feels rare in a streaming landscape flooded with disposable tracks.”

Belmont Star

She transitions from full voice to her upper register effortlessly, and even her beautifully melodic performance takes a backseat to her lyrical songwriting. It is no surprise that people are quickly finding out how compelling her music is.”

Stevie Nicole

independent singer-songwriter

Stevie Nicole is a disabled Choctaw independent singer-songwriter based in the Washington DC area, whose music blends acoustic folk warmth with a modern poetic edge, rooted in storytelling, which has long been revered in the Choctaw tribe. She lives with multiple chronic illnesses that shape the themes within her music and her perspective on life, as well as the pace at which she creates. Stevie’s debut album, Rise, a 12-track record covering themes of grief, resilience, and chronic illness, was released in March 2025. With intimate lyrics and a voice full of both comfort and raw emotion, her songs invite listeners to slow down, feel deeply, and find light in unlikely places. US Insider says of Rise, “If her debut is this unflinchingly authentic, then her future appears to be equally uncompromising.”

Though Rise marks her formal entry into the music world, Stevie is no stranger to performance. She grew up immersed in music, starting formal voice lessons at age 8, graduating from a performing arts high school with a concentration in vocal music, and singing in venues as varied as Disney World, London’s Landmark Arts Centre, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. What sets her music apart in an industry where a demand for output and visibility often overshadows intentionality, is her determination to create music that is honest, vulnerable, and purposeful. Belmont Star comments on her creative process, “That deliberate pace has given her music a kind of weight, an unhurried intimacy that feels rare in a streaming landscape flooded with disposable tracks.” That honesty and intimacy resonates with listeners who are tired of polished highlight reels and who want music that acknowledges tough emotions and struggles while still pointing towards hope.

Stevie Nicole currently has new music underway as she simultaneously builds her repertoire for upcoming local performances across the Washington DC area in 2026. You can find her album Rise available to stream on most music streaming platforms, or a digital download available for purchase through Bandcamp.
